Welcome to Autumnland, a sleepy, rainy town that's bewitched to be autumn year-round. No hot summers, and no frigid winters. Just crisp air, apple trees lining the streets, vibrant foliage, nighttime rain (every night!), pumpkins, owls, and black cats wandering the streets. Pumpkin and apple pies cool on windowsills during the day, perfuming the town with cinnamon and nutmeg. There's an entire street dedicated to cozy knitwear, with quaint stores selling everything from cardigans to snug throw blankets. Just one street over you'll find candle shops, teashops, cozy cafés, and so much more. On the outskirts of the town is a year-round pumpkin patch. Most of the Autumnland residents eat roasted pumpkin seeds daily—it's like a multi-vitamin to them. The entire town is inhabited by witches and wizards, of course. (OF COURSE!) And gnomes. Everybody forgets about the gnomes, often leaving them out in the rain, which is a big no-no as they're utterly terrified of lightening. The gnomes, being moody in nature with ravenous appetites and no manners, make it hard for magicfolk to offer up their homes as shelter each night, though. Nonetheless, gnomes are decent at finding shelter on their own when the need arises. I hope to post more from Autumnland eventually.
